Money will always be a complex issue but during the consumer rush of December, it's a good time for The Psychologist Guide to Money, where we look at the deep psychological relationships we have with our finances.
I also speak to Ruffin Relja about how the emotions and behaviours behind our purchasing preferences may not be as private as we hope (a wake-up call for a chronic cookie accepter like me).
Our editor speaks to Money on Your Mind author Vicky Reynal: she explains how feelings around money often point to broader, deeper struggles.
We also speak with psychologists who challenge us to look again at the things we find most uncomfortable: Nick Neave on the traumas that often lay beneath hoarding behaviours; and Lasana Harris explaining how our brains react to people experiencing homelessness, and how simple it might be for us to change that.
Thanks, as ever, for contributing in print and online. To get involved, take a look at our guidance!
